Students of the Studio of Natural Materials under leadership of American sculptor Vaughn Randall<\/a> (Sculpture studio leader at State University of New York, Cortland) created cast-iron objects of their own designs. Cast-iron as creative material asks consistent and patient preparation process. From first paper scatches, calculating the weight, thinking about the final function, whether aesthetic or practical, through shaping, casting the design into gypsum and preparing the mold for the final casting of hot material, which needs final cleaning afterwards.<\/p>\n Creative work with traditional and non-traditional materials, experiment and effort to try out specific procedures in artistic or design work \u2014 these are the characteristic features of this studio.<\/p>\n Curators of the exhibition concept: Jan Krti\u010dka, Ad\u00e9la Machov\u00e1, Robert Vlas\u00e1k<\/p>\n The exhibition presents artworks realized within the project Experimental Workplace \u2014 Artistic Cast Iron, which was supported by the \u010cEZ Foundation and FUD JEPU.<\/p>\n \u2192\u00a0video from preparation<\/a>
