Another performative meeting called Sound Reflections cycle, this time with artist Stefan Tiefengraber. The performative meeting of audiovisual artist Stefan Teifengraber will consist of several parts. The artist will start with presentation of his work for art space Tresor Linz. S. Teifengraber will talk about his approach his artistic practice \u2013 the extension of predefined functions of devices by experimenting with them and using unconventional applications. In the second part of the meeting will be a technical insight of the two selected performative projects with setup and examples. The artist will show how the signal flow works in practice and what effects can be achieved with which devices in different combinations. At the end of the evening there will be time to ask questions.<\/p>\n

Stefan Tiefengraber lives and works in Linz, Austria. After six years of working for a film production company he moved to Linz in 2010 to study at the University of Art and Design Linz. 2012\/13 One-year exchange at the Korean National University of Arts in Seoul\/Korea. 2015 Six-month residency (MMCA Changdong) stay in Seoul\/Korea. Since 2016 organizer of sound art concerts and co-founder of Tresor Linz. 2020 Jury member of the Prix Ars Electronica. His work ranges from kinetic sound installations and interactive installations to audio-video noise performances.
\nTiefengraber experiments with the modification of devices, which are originally manufactured for different purposes. Combined with the perception of the audience, this experimental attempt of exploring old and new materials leads him to new and unpredictable results. The artist\u2019s work was shown at Ars Electronica Festival 2021 (Linz\/Austria), Galerie gerken (Berlin\/Germany), TodaysArt 2014 (Den Haag\/Netherlands), New Media Gallery (Vancouver\/Canada), 16th WRO Media Art Biennale 2015 (Wroclaw\/Poland), Blaues Rauschen (Bochum\/Germany),…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
